HOEA EA 2010:
RETURNING TO FREEDOM
(July 7, 2010 through July 11, 2010)
Hoea ea is food “sust ‘aina-bility”. In ancient times the ahupua’a was an interdependent system of caring for each other and for the land through relationships… Hands turned to soil, this is kuleana, the responsibility of all people. Hoea ea: returning to freedom, through relationships culture, food, and of our ‘aina. Hoea ea was born in Waianae, Oahu at Ma’o Farms in 2006, and continued on Hawai’i Island as Hoea ea: Hands turned to soil, on Kauai as Hoea ea: Ho’oulu ‘Aina in 2008, and hosted in our local communities in 2009.
